A former pageant queen is miraculously getting a second probability at life.
Barbara Guthrie Lay, topped Miss Virginia in 1958, was pronounced lifeless by hospital workers on Dec. 22 after battling the coronavirus however minutes later was discovered to have a pulse once more, based on native information channel WSET.
The 82-year-old resident of Roswell, Ga., who had been admitted to the hospital two days prior with bother respiration, has since been moved from the ICU to a daily hospital room amid her continued restoration.
“As a doctor, I’ll say with out hesitation there is just one phrase for what has occurred over the previous week—a miracle,” her son Thom Kelley advised the Martinsville Bulletin.
Tony Lay, her husband of six years, had already begun calling family and friends to allow them to know she had handed away when he acquired the unbelievable information.
“I used to be overjoyed and tearful once more,” Tony stated. “I went from being depressing and brokenhearted to overjoyed.”
